We are taking a short winter break from July 7 to early August and plan some exciting surprises for you when we reopen. The Babushka Deli (with a smaller menu), Family MTB Park, Wonderdal Edutainment Centre and the WonderTruck food stall will still be open, but the Avant-Garde Restaurant, the Russian Tea Garden, the Wine Tasting Lounge and the Marvol Gallery will be closed during this period. Please consult the relevant website pages as well as Facebook for more details and operating times.

We are a family-friendly working farm and for safety reasons we regrettably don’t allow any pets, except service animals.

Hazendal Wine Estate

A heritage destination with a premium contemporary twist

Hazendal is a heritage farm and wine estate in Stellenbosch. For more than three centuries Hazendal has been a widely recognised Cape Winelands landmark. Nestled in the Bottelary Hills, it has transitioned from a humble grain and livestock operation in the 17th century, into a notable wine producer and premium lifestyle estate. Today, Hazendal offers families, life adventurists and wine and food aficionados, a rare combination of culinary, cultural, educational and outdoor experiences.

Hazendal Wine Estate in Stellenbosch is where heritage is celebrated through the introduction of contemporary architecture and design. Where authentic Russian tea ceremonies meet local South African fare and fine-dining sits alongside picnics. Where meandering mountain bike trails rub shoulders with an interactive children’s edutainment centre. It is where state-of-the-art distilling and cellar equipment meet traditional spirit and wine-making methods. Where art exhibits blend with wedding ceremonies, and historic buildings with a futuristic conference facility. It is where authenticity is coupled with modernity.

But most importantly, Hazendal Wine Estate in Stellenbosch is where friends and family come together to relax, connect, indulge, explore and celebrate the moment.
