With a focus on minimal intervention, the wines from Hazendal Wine Estate showcase the unique expression of the terroir of the Bottelary Hills in Stellenbosch, producing exceptional wines.
Each vintage is unique and studied for its individual qualities and impact on the vines. Grapes are hand-harvested and the wines are crafted to accurately showcase the terroir in which they are grown. The purity of fruit is highlighted whilst preserving the integrity of the wine.
winemaking philosophy
Under the expertise of cellarmaster Kiara Scott Farmer, Hazendal is embarking on a new approach to viticulture committed to biodiversity, habitat restoration and regeneration. The Estate is transitioning from conventional farming practices towards organic viticulture with the objective of achieving certified organic status by 2030.
2026 marks the planting of 2.8 hectares of a White Field Blend comprising 13 varieties.
